2026 Rogue River fall Steelhead Season

I have prime Fall steelhead openings October 1-6, 12-16 and 26-30. If you ever wanted to swing flys with a guide that has over 30 years of experience fishing the Rogue and a wealth of experience teaching Spey casting here is your opportunity.

I am so excited that my fall steelhead season on the Rogue is about to happen. This is my favorite time of the year. The Rogue is just incredibly beautiful this time of year with the cooler temperatures and autumn colors sprinkled along the river side. Most exciting of all is the return of our Steelhead. I start my season the last week of September and go through the first week of November.

I usually fish a floating line through most of the fall until the water temps drop in the later part of the October. Floating lines are going to be particularly important in this low water year with predicted flow to stay under 1000 cfs. If you have gone with me in the past typical flows for the fall are generally 1200 to 1500 cfs.
